a dominant performance in Game 2 of the World Series, registering a 3-1 win over veteran righty Pedro Martinez. Following a Philadelphia score in the second inning, Mark Teixeira evens things up with a fourth-inning home run. Hideki Matsui then clears the right-field fence with the game winner in the sixth. Jorge Posada delivers an insurance with a pinch-hit RBI single in the seventh.
